Achieve Age Appropriate Style

1. Know what stores are appropriate for you as stores cater to specific demographics. Check out these categories below. If you’re dressing outside your age category, but don’t jump more than one level.

2. Buy the best quality clothing you can afford — better fit, fabric, and durability. If you’re in your teens and 20s, don’t worry as much about quality since you’re growing, styles change, and your tastes change. As you age (30 and above), invest in quality clothing that will last for years.

3. Buy classic pieces — certain pieces are age appropriate for every single age which include non-distressed dark wash jeans, basic white & black tees, simple leather sneakers, denim jacket, and a badass watch.

4. Pay attention to trends — trends help you evolve stylistically. Don’t get stuck in a rut and be viewed as ‘dated’.

5. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things — shop in stores you haven’t been in, for example. Then try a new pair of shoes or a new fit of jeans.

6. Wear what you love and feel confident — feel comfortable in the clothes you’re wearing
