Minoxidil (Rogaine) – A Quick How to Guide with Before & After results

I’ve had some friends who I have recommended minoxidil to and they haven’t had the same results as me. I’m pleased with the results so far, so I figured I’d make a video on the way I apply it so everyone can see what I do and compare it. I DO NOT rub in the solution to my scalp after I’m done dabbing it. I DO NOT use any special soaps or exfoliating. I use the generic formula and I just let it sit and soak in. I often apply it right after a shower when my scalp is still damp, but the general consensus is the dryer the better I’m not sure if it makes a difference or not. One application will not cover your entire scalp, but it does spread out and will cover it after a few applications. Some of it gets in my hair and I might quick rub the hair out so there’s no beads but I try to never touch my scalp after an application.

Minoxidil Foam: I have never tried the foam but I think it might be better if you’re already experiencing complete bald spots. My brother in law who is receding uses the foam and has had significant improvement with his vertex up to his receding hairline. Since mine was just starting to noticeably thin, I started with the original formula.

Propecia: There are 2 types of baldness and minoxidil is best for vertex balding according to the instructions. I researched finasteride aka Propecia before I started anything too and I got scared away due to all the lawsuits of a diminished libido. I know that it works and some doctors say to combine it w minoxidil is ideal. I personally wouldn’t use it unless I had an enlarged prostate. Otherwise it’s hard to maintain an erection supposedly.
