Pelvic Floor Relaxation is one self-regulation technique that works to calm anxiety through calming the body.

By learning to relax the pelvic floor, we can trigger the calming parasympathetic nervous system. This is more effective than “coping skills” because it actually resolves physical tension and anxiety. This stress management skill utilizes the body-mind feedback loop to create calm.
