About 20 percent of all teens experience depression before they reach adulthood. Between 10 to 15 percent suffer from symptoms at any one time. Only 30 percent of depressed teens are being treated. Symptoms of teenage depression can include, but not limited to: prolonged low mood or sadness, being easily irritable, feelings of helplessness, increased social isolation, loss of interest for things previously enjoyed. The signs of depression can resemble that of clinical depression. If you suspect that you may be experiencing signs of depression, it is recommended that you seek a professional. </p>

<p>Depression ek common psychiatric illness hai. Depression ke lakshan ko time se pehchanana zaroori hai jisse ki sahi time pe depression ka ilaaj shuru kiya ja sake. Depression ki lakshan agar 2 weeks se zyada tak chalte hain to usse clinical depression ka diagnosis diya jata hai. Depression ke lakshan mein mann ki udasi rehna, kaam mein mann na lagna, mann mein negative vichaar aana, bhook aur neend kam aana main symptoms hote hai. Depression ke treatment mein medicines aur counselling ka dono ko role hota hai. Sahi time pe treatment shuru karne se results bhi achche milte hain.</p>

<p>Depression is one of the commonest psychiatric disorder. It&#8217;s important to identify the symptoms of depression as early as possible so that a  treatment could be initiated at the right time. The symptoms of depression include sadness of mood, loss of interest in work, negative thoughts, sleep and appetite disturbances. If these symptoms of depression continue for more than two weeks, a clinical diagnosis of depression is made. The treatment of depression involves the use of medications and counseling sessions. If the treatment of depression is done at the right time, the results of treatment are much better.</p>
<p>Dr Praveen Tripathi is a renowned psychiatrist who practices in Delhi-NCR. He did his MBBS from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS, Delhi) and MD (Psychiatry) from the prestigious Institute of Human Behavior and Allied Sciences (IHBAS, Delhi). He also underwent training at the world-renowned Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA and Kansas University Medical Centre, Kansas, USA. He is one amongst the few Indian doctors who have cleared the prestigious United States Clinical Skill examination that evaluates a doctor&#8217;s clinical competency. Dr. Tripathi underwent training in the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy from Harvard Medical Centre, which is the topmost medical college in the USA.</p>
