Signs of Infertility – What exactly is infertility?

The problems with either conceiving a child, or with carrying out the pregnancy to its eventual fruitful end, fall under the definition of infertility. Infertility is the incapability of an individual to become pregnant, in case of females, or the incapability to induce pregnancy, in case of the males. The inability of an individual to carry out a pregnancy to its full term is also dubbed infertility. How does one recognize infertility? What are the signs of infertility?

Signs of infertility are not always evident. Most people go through life without knowing there is a problem with their reproductive systems, attributing failed pregnancies to providence. In fact, miscarriages are the most common indicator of infertility. Signs of infertility in women:

In women, the signs of infertility are more readily recognized as compared to men. Endometriosis causes the lining of the uterus to grow outside the uterus.

Bacterial infections may begin around the uterus and spread to other reproductive organs, resulting in infertility. Fibroids in the uterus are indicative of infertility. Tumors in the cervix often cause stenosis, or narrowing of the cervix, which is a common indicator of infertility.

Ovulating before the tenth day and after the twentieth day of one’s monthly cycle, pre-menstrual spotting, menopausal symptoms, etc. are indicative of luteal phase defect, and thus in turn are signs too.

Irregular menstrual cycles are the most common indication in females that they might have some problems with fertility. However, an irregular menstrual cycle is not conclusive in itself, but it is definitely one of the signs of infertility.

Issues regarding body weight are often indicators of being infertile. For a woman, being too thin, or anorexic, will definitely hinder pregnancy, since the body does not have the proper nutritional requirements, or the required strength.

Alternatively, obesity can also be a sign. Obesity is accompanied by hormonal imbalance, which affects the reproductive system and pregnancy. Signs of Infertility in Men:

Like females, in males too, either obesity, or anorexia, is an indication that he is infertile. Apart from these, anatomical defects may also be signs of infertility. Undescended testicles, or damage to scrotum and the gonads, are possible indicators too. Wearing tight undergarments, or exposing the testicles to heat, may render the person unable to produce the required number of sperms, or unable to produce sperms altogether, resulting in infertility.

Determining the signs of infertility:

. Laparoscopy. If disease and other physical problems are present in the ovaries, fallopian tubes, or in the uterus, infertility is suggested. This may be detected through laparoscopy.

Infertility is a problem which can be solved if it is addressed in the holistic way, which is, using a multifaceted method of healing. Annually, approximately 2.4 Million cases of infertility have been reported. 7.4 Million Women of reproductive age suffer from infertility. Women between ages 15 to 44 often show a case of impaired fecundity. It is a condition that causes infertility, wherein the uterus is unable to carry a baby once conception occurs. Around 11.8% of the infertility cases are due this condition, with the women taking 40% of the cause of infertility cases. Another 40% can be attributed to male infertility and 20% for both partners being infertile.

As infertility cases increase in folds, the number of researches on the cause of the condition has been launched. Female and Male infertility are found to be primarily caused by physiological factors like hormonal and ovulation problems, psychological and emotional factors like stress, pressure and worry, and environmental factors like our environment, toxin exposure, lifestyle and the food that we eat.

Apart from the biological and genetic irregularities that cause infertility, here are some of the top seemingly harmless causes of infertility:

1. Soy Food, Soy supplements and Soy based milk – Soy has been marketed for its health benefits, being a good source of protection from prostate and breast cancer. However, recent studies conducted in the United States found out that excessive consumption of soy-based products can cause infertility. There were indications that large consumption of soy products introduces endocrine disruptors onto the body; these are compounds interfering with normal hormone function and ovulation process. Intake of soy products has been attributed to reduction of testosterone level and low sperm count in men, and endometriosis and growth of polyps, and bleeding in the uterus in women.

2. Genetically Modified Food (GMs) – Austrian Government has commissioned a study on Genetically Engineered Foods and has found that a diet consisting of genetically modified food attributes to infertility. The study was done on a group of mice fed with genetically modified corn and found changes in over-all health and reproductive performance. This result is caused by the negative effect of the GMs to our gene expression. This effect causes significant changes to our fertility that we can neither predict nor anticipate.

3. Nuts like almonds, Brazil nuts, Walnuts and Pecans – Fertility specialists often advise those who are trying to get pregnant to avoid food that has high copper content. These nuts including other food like peanut butter, sunflower seeds, liver, soft-shelled sea food (crabs and shrimps), contain high copper levels that tends to regulate ovulation. Copper is a well known component in birth control pills, and when taken in food with high copper content can attribute to infertility or difficulty in getting pregnant. It is also said to cause growth of multiple cysts in the ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus, which are responsible for hormonal disruptions and hormone-related conditions.

4. Caffeine – In our coffee and sodas, caffeine is pointed to be one of the leading causes of infertility. Excessive intake of caffeine is said to alter the normal ovulation process and reduce fertility.

5. Alcohol – Drinking high alcohol content and excessive alcohol intake can affect fertility as it is associated with poorer health and fertility. Studies have shown that men and women who consume more than 5 bottles of regular beer everyday are more prone to develop infertility than those who rarely consume an alcoholic beverage.

Most of the food and beverages listed above can be found in the supermarkets and grocery stores and little did we know that this so-called healthy food can attribute to the increasing infertility cases. It is always best to read food labels thoroughly and consult your physician and gynecologists for appropriate diet.

Symptoms of Varicocele

1. Pain is an aching pain when the individual has been standing or sitting for an extended time and pressure builds up in the affected veins. Heavy lifting may make varicocele symptoms worse and, in some cases, can even cause varicoceles to form.

The prostate glands secrets and contain several chemicals, of which prostate specific antigen (PSA) is probably the most interesting. PSA is an enzyme, a catalyst that causes biochemical reactions, in this case a type of enzyme called a coagulase. What is impotence?

Impotence derives from the Latin word impotentia [Lat: im "not," and potentia power]. 1. weakness. 2. inability of the adult male to achieve penile erection or, less commonly, to ejaculate having achieved an erection. Several forms are recognized. Functional impotence has a psychological basis. Anatomic impotence results from physically defective genitalia. Basically, impotence implies that a man lacks the power to achieve erection or can not maintain an erection or can not maintain an erection long enough to ejaculate. This is a very serious problem if a couple wants to conceive a child and start a family.

As a street minister back in the day or in my embryonic conscious days, I used to warn young African-American males to leave certain beer brands (Old English, St. Ides, etc.) and fried chicken sold exclusively in black urban areas alone due to the chemical substance "potassium nitrate" being heavily laced in these products to curb birth rates or population growth of African-Americans who were deemed useless eaters, expendable, or undesirables by government eugenicists covertly working in the food industry. Potassium nitrate was once used in the food of the US military apparatus. Potassium nitrate is commonly known as "salt peter" which makes the penis limp. The US government allowed this substance in the food of male military members to help curb the high rape rate of foreign women by US military men. Potassium nitrate makes for a very controversial subject with some people agreeing that it has an adverse effect on the male apparatus (penis) and others disagreeing. Based upon my research I agree that it does in fact have an adverse effect on the male apparatus.

You can believe it or not, but impotence is very high amongst African-American men today. There are still a lot of studs and Mandingos out there, but there are also a lot of Willie Lump Lumps too. I know firsthand, because I'm an herbalist and get a lot of requests for help in this area from men, young and old alike. And yes, these men are very embarrassed about their situation, because subconsciously, they know it is a basic and primal function.

While the impotence rates of African-American males are high these days, the impotence rates of white men or European males are even higher. Impotence was always a luxury disease for the most part because it was the wealthy males who could afford to eat steak, smoke the best cigars, snort the finest grade of cocaine, and drink the best wines on a daily basis. All of these played and plays and major role in impotence.

Cigarette and marijuana smoking will hamper erection. The byproduct of smoking is carbon monoxide which has an affinity for the blood ten times greater than that of oxygen. Cigarettes and drugs cause degeneration of the sex gland and reproductive system. The result is impotence or low sperm count.

Drinking alcoholic beverages causes weakness of the penis and also causes degeneration of the male reproductive system. Remember, American wine is processed with ether (sleeping gas) and formaldehyde (embalming fluid). So how is a man going to be aware and alive for the sex act if his eyes are bloodshot red and droopy (sleepiness) and his penis can not become erect due to being stiff from being indirectly embalmed? Billboards, especially those in urban areas and communities, always promote alcohol consumption and sex. True, a lot of sex occurs when folks get drunk, but what is the quality of that sex, and God forbid, what type of child is conceived from such sex and mental state of mind?

Over a long period of time, consumption of alcohol will greatly sabotage a man's ability to perform in the sex act. It is already an established fact that alcohol impairs motor skills and coordination, two functions of the brain and I have always said that the most important sex organ is not between a man or woman's leg, but between their ears – the brain! The brain is the motor or device that controls sexuality.

Men should also refrain from wearing tight underwear (briefs) too, and start wearing boxers. Poor circulation due to smothering of the testicles leads to low sperm count and production in addition to penile weakness (impotence).

And lastly on this note, excessive and meaningless sex will undoubtedly cause premature degeneration of the male reproductive system.

Varix means violation or ballooning of a particular Part, so in this case there is balooning of viens which are around testis, now technically what does the vein do, it pumps the blood back from the testis towards the heart.Ans since man is standing most of the time so it has to work anti gravity unlike a gravity which has a muscular compartment, vein does not have muscels, So the challenge is vein balloons, it loses efficiency and its causes pooling of blood, so if you can imagine what does a pooling of blood do? if you have a minor injury, a small boil, a small Hematoma or a bluish black patch, so when the blood accumulates because of the ballooning of the vessels around testis it causes stasis that means stagnant blood and it does not have oxygen. And secondly blood being warm, it increases the temperature around the testis. For sperm production testis is placed outside the body cavity only because it requires a lower temperature of 1 to 2 degree lesser than the body temperature. So effectively we change that mechanism when this ballooning of vessels happen and also the temperature rises and there is pooling of blood which causes lack of oxygen, consequent to that there is a change in the neuronal chemical released and all these effects sperm production by either decreasing the sperm production or making the sperm production abnormal.
